Research design
Consultation with the client on the best design for the project.
Instrument design
Based on extensive input from the client, a draft questionnaire that directly meets the data needs of the project will be developed.   The draft questionnaire is not finalized until approved by the client.
Sample design and selection
A sampling frame that accurately reflects the survey population will be identified and the sample will be selected.
Data collection, entry and analysis
Projects will be administered by means of a mail, telephone, or face-to-face survey.  The data are then entered and analyzed using the latest versions of appropriate computer software.
Report preparation and presentation
Following the format selected, a final report will be prepared using tables, charts, and graphs combined with narrative comments.

Applications

Organizations often find survey research to be the most accurate and useful
information source when they desire to identify and analyze the perceptions,
opinions, and needs of large or small populations. These opinions may include
those of citizens of a city, customers of a non-profit or business organization,
or employees within any of these organizations.
