The Texas Center for Music and Medicine is an interdisciplinary research center that provides educational opportunities for graduate students from various disciplines within the UNT system to study and to conduct basic and applied research.

Additional educational initiatives include medical grand rounds, lectures and presentations, publication of scholarly and educational materials, and hosting of workshops, symposia, and national and international conferences. Regional or national programs are often developed in collaboration with other institutions or organizations.

The Texas Center for Music & Medicine continually seeks out and develops educational opportunities for students, musicians, and health care professionals.
