Dr. Bernard Rubin, Medical Director

Dr. Rubin is a graduate of the University of Illinois, Urbana, Illinois, and the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, Chicago, Illinois. He completed his Internal Medicine training at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He began his fellowship in Rheumatology at Albert Einstein Medical Center, and completed it at Thomas Jefferson University, also in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr Rubin completed an additional fellowship in Clinical Immunology at Hahnemann University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Later, he earned his Master of Public Health degree at University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, Texas.

Dr. Rubin is currently Interim Chair, Department of Medicine as well as Professor of Medicine, and Chief of the Division of Rheumatology at University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, Texas. He is Adjunct Professor, College of Music, University of North Texas, Denton, Texas, and Adjunct Professor of Epidemiology and Assessment, School of Public Health, University of North Texas Health Science Center, Fort Worth, Texas. Dr Rubin is a fellow of the American College of Rheumatology, the American College of Physicians, and a member of the American Society of Bone and Mineral Research, and the American Public Health Association. He serves as a consultant for the Arthritis Drugs Advisory Committee of the FDA.

Dr. Rubin is actively involved in performing multiple clinical research studies concerning osteoporosis, rheumatoid arthritis, gout, osteoarthritis, and the medical problems of performing artists. He has published over 40 articles and abstracts in peer-reviewed medical journals.
