Health Clinics
The Islamic Association of North Texas
(IANT)- offers a clinic to the public three days a week. For an appointment and more information call 972-231-8451 or go to http://www.iant.com/clinic.php

Al-Shifa Clinic- offered to the public by the Muslim Community Center for Human Services. Not limited to Muslims, open to entire community. Free, and accepting donations. Offers non-emergency health care every Saturday from 9am-12pm.

Central Dallas Ministries- the Community Health Services program offers low cost medical and dental assistance.

Central Dallas Ministries also offers Medicaid Community Based Services which helps people file for Medicaid and benefits. Contact at 214-823-8710 ex.14 website at http://www.cdm-cm.org/

Community Oriented Primary Care (COPC)- in association with Parkland Health and Hospital System. Go to http://www3.utsouthwestern.edu/parkland/copc/copc.html for a list of local clinics that offer a variety of affordable medical care in a neighborhood near you. These clinics have bilingual staff if you do not speak English as well as an interpreter service if an employee does not speak your language.

Clinic Resource Unite for Sight- This website contains an extensive list of clinics, both free and low cost, which include services such as primary medical care, women’s health services, dental care, and more. Go to http://www.uniteforsight.org/freeclinics.shtml and then choose your city.

HIV/AIDS Medical Centers and Clinics- this is a list of area clinics that treat HIV/AIDS and STD patients. Go to http://www.resourcecenterdallas.org/daas/medical.html

Violence Intervention and Prevention Center (VIP) - associated with Parkland Health and Hospital System. This is a treatment center for domestic violence cases and the health care associated with domestic violence. Call 214-590-2926 for an appointment, open Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm.

 

Counseling Services
The Center for Survivors of Torture (CST) –
offers mental health services for survivors of torture and trauma. These are free services, but must have initial screening to see if they will fit the criteria. A case treatment plan is worked up for each patient and the clinic has many different styles of therapy including individual, group, and alternative methods.
