Q: Can I ride my bicycle on campus?
A:
  Recent changes now allow bicycles to be ridden on the sidewalks around campus. We request that you regulate your speed according to the flow of pedestrian traffic and ride with respect.

Q: Do I have to register my bicycle?
A
: Yes. Bicycles that will be parking on campus must be registered with the UNT Parking Office and must have a valid UNT decal. This decal must be permanently affixed to the front of the vertical seat tube, below the horizontal bar. Bikes may be registered and permits obtained FREE at the Parking office in the Sullivan Public Safety Center .

Q: Where should I park my bicycle?
A:
Bicycles only should be parked at any bicycle rack. Bicycles chained to handrails, trees, or any location other than designated bicycle racks are subject to impoundment and security devices will be removed by whatever means necessary to impound the bicycle. Bicycles may not be parked, stored, or left standing in any lobby, hallway, or room of any building.

Q: Where are the bicycle racks located?
A:
Bike racks are located near entrances to most academic buildings and resident halls.

Q: What if my bicycle is impounded?
A:
If your bicycle is impounded, you will need to come to the Sullivant Public Safety Center located at 1700 Wilshire Street and identify the bike within 30 days of impoundment. For more information, see UNT Parking Regulation 8.11 at Parking Regulations . Click on the link for Parking Regulations.
