How to ride the UNT Shuttle:
Riding the UNT Shuttle is easy! Just remember these simple guidelines:

  • Buses stop ONLY at designated bus stops for passengers to board or alight the bus.
  • Approximately one block before your stop, signal the driver by pulling the cord above the window. The bus may not stop otherwise.

 

Here is a list of common questions recieved from UNT Shuttle riders:

Q: Who do I call if I have a problem with the service?

A: Service is operated by DCTA . In order to help us address service issues in a timely manner, please call 940-243-0077.

Q: Is there a fare to ride the bus?

A: No. Students, staff, and faculty may ride any UNT Shuttle or DCTA bus. DCTA requires showing a valid University ID upon boarding.

Q: Where do the buses go?

A: Check out our website www.unt.edu/trans , take a look at our main bus stop shelters at the Union and Fouts Field, or look for our route map brochures in various spots around campus like the bookstore, the Student Services Center, the Rec center and the Sullivant Center.

Q: What are the hours of service?

A: Buses operate Monday - Thursday from 7:15am till 10:30pm and on Fridays from 7:15am to 5:30pm on most routes. The Night Rider operates, Sunday - Thursday, from 5:30pm until 2:30am around the main campus. These times are valid for Fall and Spring semesters; Summer will have reduced hours and service.
