For most undergraduate degree programs, you should take all of your general academic courses at a community college, UNT in Denton or another college or university.
The UNT Dallas Campus only offers junior-, senior- and graduate-level courses.
To make it easier for you to transfer credit for general academic courses from one Texas college or university to another, UNT uses the Texas Common Course Numbering System.
It also publishes its core curriculum courses and provides an online articulation guide at www.unt.edu/registrar/articulation. Equivalent core courses from many two-year colleges, including the Dallas County Community College District, are listed on this site.
You should also discuss your degree plan with a Dallas Campus adviser or recruitment staff member.
This is especially critical for students in technical degree programs planning to enter the applied arts and sciences program, which leads to a bachelor’s degree.
If you are interested in pursuing a certificate, certification or endorsement, you should consult a Dallas Campus adviser. The prerequisites for these programs vary widely.
If you are seeking a graduate degree, you should consult a Dallas Campus adviser and take the necessary entrance examination, such as the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) or the Graduate Record Exam (GRE).
Undergraduate transcripts are required for admission.
If you already have a bachelor’s degree, you must complete the graduate admission application.
You can apply to the graduate school as a non-degree student if you are:
Non-degree students may change to degree-seeking students within 12 semester credit hours of courses taken as a non-degree student.
If you have questions about which application you need, call the UNT Dallas Campus at (972) 780-3600.
