The University of North Texas Dallas Campus Financial Aid Office is committed to helping qualified students obtain the financial assistance necessary to pursue their education. We Offer a variety of federal, state and institutional financial aid programs. All financial aid programs requires a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be on file with the Student Financial Aid & Scholarship Office. The UNT Denton and UNT Dallas Campus School Code is 003594.
To apply for financial aid, you should complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid.
The FAFSA is available each January for the upcoming academic year and should be completed as early as possible.
You may get the FAFSA packet from the UNT Dallas Campus or from any college or university, or you may apply online at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
*The 2008-2009 TASFA is also available online. Students can access it from www.collegefortexans.com .
Applying online is fast and is the recommended method for applying.
Scholarships for students enrolled at the UNT Dallas Campus are available through the UNT Dallas Campus and the Denton campus. Academic and course load requirements vary. Call the Dallas Campus at (972) 780-3600 for scholarship application deadlines for future semesters.
Grants do not have to be repaid. They are available to students who meet financial aid requirements. The Pell Grant, the Texas Public Education Grant, and the Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant are available to UNT Dallas Campus students, although the Pell Grant can be awarded only to undergraduate students.

Students are allowed to enroll at UNT Denton or Dallas Campus and another institution concurrently but can only receive financial aid funds from one institution per semester.
UNT’s Concurrent Enrollment Agreement allows students designate UNT as their host institution for financial aid, and may be eligible to be awarded the maximum Pell Grant funding for the total hours enrolled at both institutions.

Loan Management Counseling and Master Promissory Note (MPN)
Loans are available at low interest rates, and in most cases you pay them back after you graduate or leave school.
Some loans are based on financial need and others are available regardless of your financial circumstances.
The need-based loans UNT offers are the Federal Stafford Loan and the Federal Perkins Loan.
Other loans available are the Federal PLUS Loan and the Federal Unsubsidized Loan.
Students must enroll in at least 6 hours for undergraduates and 4 hours for graduate students to qualify for federal loans.
