Students can receive assistance with major-decision making and career and life planning.
Contact the Student Development Office (SDO) for an appointment.
Career exploration
Students can use Choices Planner online to learn more about the the world-of-work and their interests, values, and skills. Contact the SDO for a username and password.
Students can use SIGI 3® online to access a self-assessment with in-depth and up-to-date career information provides students with educational and career options. An EUID and password is required to access SIGI 3®.

Students can access Career Resource Guides by Major to learn more about how UNT Dallas Campus majors translate into the world-of-work including job related titles, labor statistics, relevant websites, professional associations, and UNT Dallas Campus print resources.
Job search
The UNT Denton campus provides access to an online job board called EagleNetwork for both part-time and full-time employment opportunities.
Students must contact the SDO to obtain the username and password in order to register.
The UNT Dallas Campus provides students with access to NACElink Connect, an online, national job board for college students looking for all types of employment including:
- Full-time and part-time jobs
- Internships
- Cooperative education positions
- Volunteer work
- Summer work

Online Interview Preparation
Perfect InterviewTM is an innovative learning tool that you can use to enhance your job interviewing skills.
Perfect InterviewTM creates a compelling and realistic "simulated interview" experience where you are asked challenging questions and must respond, just as you would in a real job interview.
In order to use the video capture function you must have a compatible webcam (LogiTech QuickCam or Creative).
Workshops
Students can attend 30-minute career workshops throughout the semester.
Topics include:
- Job search strategies
- Resume writing
- Cover letters
- Preparing for job interviews
- Salary negotiation

Resource Room
Print materials and current periodicals (pdf) are available by major for students in the Resource Room located in the SDO.
Free Job Choices magazines are available for current students.

Internships
The Cooperative Education & Internships Department on the Denton campus maintains a database of internship opportunities for UNT students.
The SDO works closely with the Denton campus so that students do not have to travel to the Denton campus.
