Criminal Justice

  • American Society of Criminology
    The American Society of Criminology is an international organization concerned with criminology, embracing scholarly, scientific, and professional knowledge concerning the etiology, prevention, control and treatment of crime and delinquency.  This includes the measurement and detection of crime, legislation and practice of criminal law, as well as the law enforcement, judicial and correctional systems.
  • Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences
    The Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences is an international association established in 1963 to foster professional and scholarly activities in the field of criminal justice. ACJS promotes criminal justice education, research, and policy analysis within the discipline of criminal justice for both educators and practitioners.

Business

  • The International Association of Business Communicators (IABC)
    The IABC provides a professional network of more than 13,000 business communication professionals in over 60 countries.
  • National Hispanic Business Organization
    The National Hispanic Business Association (NHBA) is a national network of students and alumni whose mission is to promote the development of undergraduate Hispanic business students through educational, professional, and networking opportunities to foster diversity, higher education, and the improvement of the Hispanic community.

MBA

  • Strategic Management Society (SMS)
    Membership composed of Academics, Business practitioners, and Consultants, (the ABCs) focuses its attention on the development and dissemination of insights on the strategic management process, as well as on fostering contacts and interchange among members from around the world.

  • National Association for Bilingual Education (NABE)
    Promoting educational excellence and equity through bilingual education, the National Association for Bilingual Education (NABE) is the only national organization exclusively concerned with the education of language-minority students in American schools.
  • National Association for Multicultural Education
  • Texas Association for Bilingual Education
    TABE pursues the implementation of educational policies and effective bilingual-bicultural programs that promote equal educational opportunity and academic excellence for language minority students. TABE firmly believes that only enrichment (additive) forms of bilingual education ensure that language minority students are successful academically and develop age-appropriate English proficiency. To this end, TABE fully endorses and promotes the implementation of research-based two-way/dual language programs and maintenance (late-exit) bilingual programs.

Rehabilitation Studies

  • The Center for an Accessible Society
    The Center for an Accessible Society's goal is to focus public attention on disability and independent living issues by disseminating information developed through NIDRR-funded research to promote independent living. With the end of NIDRR-funding, the Center is on hiatus, pending future funding.
  • International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals
    IARP unites rehab professionals across North America and beyond to promote the availability of services for persons with disabilities. IARP serves a diverse membership practicing in the fields of longterm disability and disability management consulting, case management and managed care, forensics and expert testimony, life care planning, and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) consulting.  IARP supports professional growth, fosters rehabilitation research and management innovation and strives to shape public policy favorable to private-sector rehabilitation.
  • National Rehabilitation Counseling Association, (NRCA)
    A division of the NRA for rehabilitation counselors; strives to meet the professional interests and needs of all rehabilitation counselors.

Library and Information Science

  • American Library Association (ALA)
