Apply for the scholarship (application will open in new window; requires Acrobat Reader). Application deadline is May 16 for each academic year.

• Students who have been certified by the Dallas County Community Colleges Rising Star program and are in good standing with a minimum 2.5 grade-point average.
• Rising Star recipients who have completed all of the DCCCD’s core requirements (Texas Common Core) Note: Students may have additional pre-requisites to complete at the community college, depending on their declared major.
• Applicants must be U. S. citizens, permanent residents of the U. S. or meet the qualifications set for the Texas Senate Bill 1528.
• Applicants must have been accepted by the University of North Texas to pursue a bachelor’s degree at the UNT Dallas Campus.
