Tillie Burgin
Executive Director, Mission Arlington/Mission Metroplex

February 22 (Friday)
4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Tillie Burgin began Mission Arlington/Mission Metroplex in 1986 by providing Bible studies throughout the city. This has grown through the years, and now 260 Bible studies are held weekly in apartment complexes, retirement centers, and mobile home parks. A multitude of services are also offered
daily to help people in need. Among her many awards and recognitions is the "Yellow Rose of Texas," conferred upon her by governor Rick Perry in 2006.

Carolyn Wright
Texas Appellate Judge, District 5

March 25 (Tuesday)
4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Justice Wright is elected to the Texas State Court of Appeals and has served in the judiciary for almost 25 years. While many of the positions held by her have been historical firsts for women and minorities serving in the Dallas judiciary, her election to the Court of Appeals marks the first time in
Texas history that an African American woman has ever won a multi-county election for any elected office in Texas, and she is the only African-American woman currently serving on an appellate court in the State of Texas.

April 12 (Saturday)
