"I'm a graduate of Duncanville (TX) High School, East Texas State University (now Texas A&M Commerce; BA in English), Southern Methodist University (master of religious education) and the University of North Texas (master of library science). After graduating from UNT, I lived and worked in Waco, TX, for ten years. Upon my return to Dallas, I was hired by Dallas Public Library, where I worked for eleven years. When I read about the opening of the Dallas Campus, I immediately applied for a position as a Librarian. I'm very excited about being here and about the future of this Campus and our opportunity to provide some very unique library services. We're truly pioneers in this venture."

"I entered the SLIS program in the Fall of 2000 and immediately began my first library job in Circulation and Reference at the Nelson Memorial Library at Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie, Texas. After twenty five years of business management experience, reinventing myself as a librarian has been tremendous fun! I worked several part time jobs while completing my degree, including a semester at Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas at the Health Sciences Library and as a student assistant at the UNT Dallas Campus Library. I graduated in May of 2003 and went to work at Southern Methodist University in the Cox School of Business. When the hiring freeze was lifted, I came back to UNT Dallas to continue the programs I had started, such as developing projects for the library student assistants to showcase their skills and promote our library services. I am thrilled to be on the UNT Dallas Campus staff and to be involved in developing this campus from the ground up. We have unlimited opportunities to be innovative in working with our students, staff and faculty to facilitate their research and information needs and to market our university to the community."

"I began the SLIS Master's program in May 2006, a month after I graduated from Texas State University-San Marcos with a master of fine arts in creative writing. I grew up in Columbia, Missouri, and attended Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, where I majored in English. I now live in Dallas with my wife Rachel and our dogs. I also work at SMU's Center for Information Processing."

"I grew up in the North Dallas area. I received my B.A. in history from UNT in 2004 and entered the SLIS program in 2005. I grew up loving libraries and am very excited to be moving toward a career as a librarian. Around the same time I started in the SLIS program I also began to volunteer at our church library. I eventually took over as the Ministry Leader there and I love to work in that library. I've had the opportunity to do just about everything in that library and it's been a great learning experience. I also work as the Database Manager for a wholesale distributor in Dallas. I got married to my husband Jason in October 2006 and we live in Lewisville with our kitten Cora Munro."

"I'm a native of Fort Worth & Arlington and received my B.S. from TCU. After nearly 10 years of not being able to decide what I wanted to do, I started in the SLIS program in January of 2006 after realizing that many of my hobbies are related to librarianship. I'm particularly drawn to cataloging, digitization, and rare books. Currently, I live near Burleson with my wife, Leigh, and two silly dogs, Bergkamp and Maisie."

"I'm a Fort Worth native.  I have a B.A. in art from Austin College (Sherman, TX).  I developed a great passion for art and along the way for libraries (surprisingly, this happened after working 4 years at my college library).  Being an underemployed college graduate makes you appreciate all the resources that libraries have to offer.  I began the SLIS program in Fall of 2005 and have been working in libraries since college (Fort Worth Public Library and currently TCU Library).  I live in Fort Worth with my husband Amon-Ra and our puppy Ginger."

"I began my master's degree in library science in the fall of 2006 after graduating from Baylor University with my B.A. in English literature and a music minor.  Originally from Baytown, TX, I currently live in Denton with my Border Collie puppy, Charlotte.  I hope one day to work in an academic library and am excited to work at the Dallas Campus library in order to learn about offering our services to students and faculty members."

I began my master’s degree in library science at UNT this fall.  I graduated from Texas A&M University in College Station this past May with a B.A. in English.  I decided to become a librarian after evaluating all the things I love in life.  When I realized that reading, researching, and people were among my top favorite things, I knew being a librarian would make my career a joyful one.  This is my first library job and I am very excited and eager to learn about the faculty and students at UNTDC.  I do not know what type of library I would like to work in after I graduate, but I know working here will give me the resources I need for any library job I am interested in.
