Fort Worth native is named first director of financial aid

DALLAS—Fort Worth native Michelle Fleek joined the staff of the University of North Texas at Dallas Sept. 1. She is the school’s first director of financial aid.

Fleek comes to UNT Dallas from Texas Guaranteed Student Loan Corporation where she served as a senior account executive the past four years. Before that she worked for five years as assistant director of loan programs at Texas Christian University. She previously worked as a financial aid counselor for the University of Dallas and Business Computer Training Institute.

Fleek is the daughter of longtime Fort Worth residents Carole and Lucian Siepielski. She is a 1988 graduate of Southwest High School.

Fleek earned a master’s degree in clinical psychology from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from TCU in 1992. She is a member of the Texas Association of State Financial Aid Administrators.

She previously served as an adjunct instructor and TRIO educational talent search counselor at Cameron University in Lawton, Okla.
