Leadership Education and Development League
The Center for Leadership & Service provides services and learning opportunities in order to develop effective and ethical leaders as mentors, facilitators, and role models for their community. By joining CLS's LEAD League, you will have the opportunity to create and lead workshops and retreats. The LEAD League is the preeminent student leadership board committed to creating teamwork and reaching out to individuals and organizations on campus.
What is the LEAD League?
Students who are selected for the LEAD League will plan and facilitate outreach programs such as retreats, conferences, workshops, team building and personal development exercises. Throughout the year the LEAD League will attend on-going training sessions to continue learning and growing as a leader. The LEAD League will consist of a small group of students that will provide learning opportunities for other students throughout the year.
Who should apply?
All aspiring leaders should apply to join the LEAD League. We are looking for students who have a passion for leadership and student development. Students interested in applying for the LEAD League should have prior leadership knowledge and experience. Junior and Senior students are strongly encouraged to apply.
What does the League actually do?
Students will participate in outreach programs by helping student organizations with issues such as recruitment, leadership training, member retention, conflict resolution, effective communication, and much more! As a member of the LEAD League, You will…
- Learn how to prepare and facilitate leadership trainings
- Gain experience in consulting large and small organizations
- Develop and enhance practical leadership skills
- Network with up-and-coming campus leaders, and well-established leaders on campus
LEAD League Retreats and Workshops
A critical component of the LEAD League will be to plan and execute retreats and workshops throughout the year. The Center for Leadership and Service is will have several retreats such as, All for NT/NT for All, Emerging Leadership, and Senior Summit, that will need require leadership training. The LEAD League will help plan and see through all of these trainings.
