Each faculty member is required to identify, post, and maintain office hours so that students can have access to their professors. These office hours must be consistent with department, school, or college policy. Policies regarding the amount of time and location of office hours should be developed by the faculties of the department, school, or college and may reflect unique programs and conditions. Policies on office hours may reflect differences between levels and types of classes, but assurances must be made that all faculty make themselves available on an appropriate, regular, student-convenient basis. Individual exceptions must be approved by the department chair and dean and will be filed in the Office of the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs. Compliance with this requirement will be taken into account in the annual evaluation procedures.
