Management
Plan
The project's
goals and objectives provide the overall framework for the project.
A detailed project plan will be developed in the initial month of the
project. The plan will describe scheduling, tasking, and deliverables
to achieve the projects goals and objectives. Project management techniques
will be employed to assure successful completion of the project.
The Principal
Investigator has managed and successfully completed large research and
demonstration projects (see Attachment A for his resume). Specifically,
he was principal investigator for a federally funded evaluation of the
U.S. Government's implementation of the Government Information Locator
Service (Moen and McClure, 1997). He is completing a NISO funded national
study of State Libraries' Standards Policies. He has also served as
project manager for the development of the CIMI Z39.50 Profile (Moen,
1998a).
The University
of North Texas and the School of Library and Information Sciences will
provide accounting and billing services for the project. In addition,
and as part of the overall project management, the Principal Investigator
will set up a financial management system to closely monitor project
resources and expenses.
