Personnel

The research team consists of the Principal Investigator and four graduate students as Research Associates.

The Research Associates will be selected for the project based on skills and competencies needed for the project. Students enrolling in the Ph.D. or Certificate of Advanced Study will bring computing, programming, database, research, and communication skills. Students enrolling in the masters program students will bring computing, communication, and website development skills. All students must meet the standards for acceptance by UNT and SLIS. Masters students will be enrolled in the Organization of Information Program of Study and will be advised by the Principal Investigator. (See Attachment E for plans to recruit and select the Research Associates.)

A project Advisory Board will be established. The Board will be comprised of experts in networked information search and retrieval and representatives of key stakeholders (e.g., NISO, the Texas State Library). Patricia Harris, executive director of NISO and Clifford Lynch, executive director of the Coalition for Networked Information have agreed to serve on the Advisory Board. The Board will provide the Principal Investigator with guidance by reviewing project plans, project activities, milestones accomplished, and the results of the testbed.
