zlot project special meeting
December 16 & 17, 2002

As a vendor who participated in the ZLOT Project proof-of-concept demonstration, you are invited to participate in the ZLOT Project Special Meeting in four ways.

During the second session on Monday, December 16th, any vendor who participated in any part of the ZLOT Project proof-of-concept demonstration will have the opportunity to present their implementation perspective on the major challenges and opportunities of a resource discovery service such as the service envisioned for the Library of Texas.

Monday evening vendors who provided the ZLOT Project a proof-of-concept prototype for the Search and Retrieval Interface Application will have an opportunity to demonstrate their application to meeting participants.

Vendors who participated in any part of the ZLOT Project proof-of-concept demonstration are welcome to bring product brochures and related sales and technical information. There will be tables in the general meeting area where vendors can place product information. 

On Tuesday, December 17th, the fourth and final session will address the issues and challenges involved in implementing the LOT Resource Discovery Service. Vendors are encouraged to actively participate in this important forum. We are compiling a list of challenges and opportunities for this session. ZLOT staff will post these topics in advance of the meeting so vendors will have an opportunity to consider these for discussion.
