The Department of World Languages, Literatures and Cultures offers coursework leading to a minor in Japanese. This minor can help you meet your foreign language requirement for many undergraduate degrees, as well as learn in-demand skills for the global marketplace.
Our faculty members include native speakers, leaders in national and international organizations and award-winning professors. Students who complete their minor will have advanced-level reading, writing, and communication skills in Japanese.
Studying Japanese opens the door to a variety of new career paths, new experiences, and new opportunities for personal growth and exploration. The Japanese minor is designed to develop language skills as well as sociocultural competencies through the study of the Japanese language and culture.
