If you are an undergraduate student interested in teaching high school science, then Teach North Texas is for you. Teach North Texas is UNT's innovative math and science secondary level teacher preparation program.
TNT lets interested students explore the teaching profession in an initial one-credit hour introductory course followed by a two-credit hour introductory course that can be taken as early as freshman year. Once in the program, students take courses that emphasize field experiences, teaching strategies, and concepts related specifically to the Physics or Chemistry subjects the students will teach.
Students earning a Physical Science Teacher Certification will be ready to teach physics at the secondary level, where there is a critical shortage of qualified instructors.
