</ul></career-outlook><courses-label/><course-title-1>Human Anatomy and Physiology for the Movement Sciences (3 hrs)</course-title-1><course-description-1>Applied anatomy and physiology of the human body with an emphasis on the muscular-skeletal and cardio-respiratory systems and related physiology. Students who successfully complete this course will have a foundational knowledge of the primary systems involved in human movement. The emphasis is on practical application and implications for human movement.</course-description-1><course-title-2>Fundamentals of Strength and Conditioning (3 hrs)</course-title-2><course-description-2>Practical aspects of development of muscular strength and endurance, cardiorespiratory endurance and flexibility including: proper strength and conditioning exercise techniques, safety and basic exercise programming.</course-description-2><course-title-3>Psychology of Exercise (3 hrs)</course-title-3><course-description-3>Introduces students to theories explaining and predicting physical activity behavior, psychological and physiological effects of exercise on mental and physical health, health and exercise behavior change strategies, and interventions for increasing physical activity participation and adherence across the lifespan.</course-description-3><course-title-4>Principles of Health (3 hrs)</course-title-4><course-description-4>Introduces principles of health promotion and effective strategies used with individuals and communities. Provides an overview of behavior modification, communications, epidemiology, mental health, program planning and program evaluation as it relates to the promotion of one’s health. Students are introduced to the skills and knowledge required to become successful professionals in health promotion.</course-description-4><course-title-5>Behavioral Change Strategies in Health Promotion (3 hrs)</course-title-5><course-description-5>Integrates social, behavioral and psychological content and theory for the purpose of effecting positive behavior change in individuals.
