Studio Art Degree with a Concentration in New Media Art HighlightsOur faculty members are active artists and scholars whose works are displayed in venues such as the MoMA PS1 art center in New York, the Arnolfini in England, the National Museum of China and the Mejan Labs in Sweden.The program is also involved with UNT's Initiative for Advanced Research in Technology and the Arts, which provides unique opportunities to collaborate with students and faculty members in the College of Engineering, the College of Music and the Department of Media Arts, among others.UNT's proximity to Dallas and Fort Worth also offers a wealth of experiences and resources.To provide other insights and knowledge, numerous renowned artists, designers and scholars are brought to campus.A Living-Learning Community brings together art and design majors who live on campus to enhance academic and social experiences.Classes are taught in state-of-the-art labs, which are available for use beyond regular class time, and we also have an array of audio, visual and other related equipment available for checkout.What Can You Do With a Studio Art Degree with a Concentration in New Media Art?Education – graduates are prepared to continue higher education in a new media art graduate program. They may instruct workshops or classes at colleges, universities, local arts organizations, museums, galleries or online.
Fine Artist – creates and sells work for online or gallery exhibitions and shows.
Other Areas – film editor, film/video game art director, audio technician or creator, graphic artist, animator, visual display or storyboard creator, web designer, studio assistant, lab technician, digital curator, gallerist, and art technology consultant.
