The candidate must have completed at least 4 of our UNT Educational Leadership courses and have passed the TExES 268 certification exam. The probationary certification is for students that have not yet completed our principal certification program and have been offered a position with a school district that requires the probationary certificate. This is awarded only when offered a position with this requirement and prior to the student obtaining their standard principal certification.
