Intensive theory and practice of authoring tools, content management, single sourcing and coding.</course-description-1><course-title-2>Editing Technical Documents (3 hrs)</course-title-2><course-description-2>Practical application of technical and professional communication in industry, business and the sciences, using the workshop approach.</course-description-2><course-title-3>Style and Technical Writing (3 hrs)</course-title-3><course-description-3>Study of the principles of technical style with intensive practice in writing and analyzing technical prose.</course-description-3><course-title-4>Digital Content Strategies for Communication Professionals (3 hrs)</course-title-4><course-description-4>Advanced study of content strategy skills important for technical communicators. Students learn about how technical communicators use content strategies to develop web content. Students also use and analyze major web content management systems, including Drupal, Word Press and Joomla.</course-description-4><course-title-5>Measuring Usability and User Experience for Professional and Technical Communication (3 hrs)</course-title-5><course-description-5>Client-based approach to the methods used to analyze the usability and user experience of documents, software, web sites, mobile applications and other interfaces used by professional and technical communicators.
