Experience innovation at UNT at Frisco with a degree in Project Design and Analysis (PDA). This unique degree program, designed especially for first-time college students, will enable you to graduate with real-world experience in only three years. You’ll study as part of a student work group called a cohort and work alongside highly involved faculty and business leaders. You’ll gain hands-on training through internships and industry-focused semester projects and develop team leadership skills so you can confidently address business problems.

By the time you graduate, you will understand three key business skills that employers seek:

Project Management: Learn how to manage projects from start to finish with collaborative team thinking, communication, and time and budget management.

Design Thinking: Get the inside scoop on how to generate innovative solutions for real business needs. You’ll learn how to create products, services and features in ways that customers want.

Data Analysis: Learn how to analyze data and practice applied probability and simple statistics. These tools will help you measure key performance indicators (KPIs), understand business forecasting and identify other useful analytics.

Program eligibility

  • Be a first-time college student with no college credits.
  • Take 17 required semester credit hours each long semester to stay on track with your cohort and graduate in three years.
  • Limit outside employment to no more than 10 hours/week.
  • Participate in three summer internships varying in length from two weeks part-time to 10 weeks full-time (65-390 contact hours).

Admission to PDA is a two-step process:

Step 1 – Apply: Follow the steps listed under "How to Enroll at UNT” to complete your UNT admission application. When applying via ApplyTexas, make sure to select:
