Chilled water line construction to block some sidewalks beginning Monday, June 19

June 15, 2017

Dear UNT faculty and staff,

On Monday, June 19, Hunt Construction Group will begin chilled water excavation for the expansion of the College of Visual Arts and Design. In order to do so, they must erect construction fencing and connect to the UNT chilled water line.

During this process, portions of the sidewalk and greenspace on the north side of Sage Hall and the west side of the CVAD building will be closed to create boring holes and for equipment storage (see map below). Please be mindful of construction areas on campus and plan alternate routes as necessary. Fences surrounding construction areas are indicated by green dotted lines on the map below.

When completed, the 133,000-square-foot addition to the current CVAD building will bring all areas of the college — currently housed in eight different buildings  — together.
