To better serve the UNT community, Transportation Services is offering parking permit presales this year for the 2018-19 academic year. This will allow faculty, staff and students returning to UNT for the 2018-19 school year to buy their parking permits now, rather than during the summer.
Presales started this morning for Faculty/Staff permits (A, F/S and others), Motorcycle permits and Eagle permits for commuting students for Fall 2018/Spring 2019. Garage permits, permits for First Time in College, Resident, Resident Reserved for upperclassmen and Eagle Fall will go on sale by June 1. Follow UNT Transportation on Twitter at @UNTTransit or on Facebook at UNT transportation for information on open sales for these permits during the summer.
Permits are available for purchase online. For convenience, faculty and staff may pay for permits by credit card or by paycheck withdrawal.
Permit prices will not increase this year. The price for A permits remains $650 and the F/S permit is still $225. The EVN permit — introduced last year for those who are primarily on campus in the evenings — is $137 and allows for parking in all lots except for Resident and Resident Reserved from 5:30 p.m. to 7 a.m. weekdays and all day on weekends.
All permits are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
While major changes were avoided, there are a few small lot changes. Those changes will be reflected on a map sent to permit purchasers along with their 2018-19 permit over the summer. Transportation Services will also update its website during the summer to reflect those changes.
Anyone with parking or transportation questions is encouraged to stop by the Transportation Services office on the first floor of the Highland Street Garage between 7:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, call 940-565-3020 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
