Dear UNT community,

The personal safety and security of every member of the university community is of paramount concern to everyone at the University of North Texas.

As a reflection of this concern, each year the university publishes a report informing the campus about programs and services designed to enhance campus security. Included in the report are crime statistics, student disciplinary referrals for certain crime-related conduct and information on fire safety and statistics. The Annual Security and Fire Safety Report for 2017-18 has been updated and is available at clery.unt.edu.

This report includes information required by the Violence Against Women Act Reauthorization such as the number of sex offenses, as well as domestic violence, dating violence and stalking incidents reported to UNT. In addition, the report contains information on the many programs and educational resources UNT offers to help prevent these issues.

UNT continually takes proactive steps to create a safe and welcoming atmosphere for survivors to report sexual assault by training Campus Security Authorities to report offenses. The Title IX Coordinator, Dean of Students Office and UNT's Survivor Advocate also offer assistance to those impacted by sexual assault and coordinate training efforts for the university community.

If you would like to receive a copy of the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report, please contact the Dean of Students at 1155 Union Circle, Box 305008, Denton, Texas 76203, deanofstudents.unt.edu, deanofstudents@unt.edu or 940-565-2648. You also can pick up a copy of the report by stopping by University Union, Room 409.
