Be heard: Take the 2018 Campus Inclusion Climate Survey – A Message from the President

Oct. 29, 2018

Dear UNT community,

We hope to create a diverse and inclusive environment where all students employees – regardless of identity, rank or status – feel fully engaged, seen and heard. With that in mind, our Division of Institutional Equity and Diversity has thoughtfully developed a Campus Inclusion Climate Survey designed to help us understand how you feel as an individual within our community.

The anonymous survey is available now through Nov. 16, and takes about 15 minutes to complete. Data collected will be used to help develop UNT's strategic plan for diversity and inclusion, which will include the varied perspectives of UNT faculty, staff, students and administrators. The survey is available in English and in Spanish with assistance from bilingual volunteers. We want to know how we can best serve you, so please take the survey and encourage your peers to do so as well.

You can learn more about the survey here, including important defined terms, and how to qualify and register for participant incentives such as gift cards, an iPad, and tickets to Cowboys, Stars, Murchison Performing Arts Center and Distinguished Lecture Series events. Incentives will be offered throughout the survey period, so follow the #IncludeMeUNT hashtag on social media to catch those and to share your personal experiences.

If you have questions about the survey, contact Shani Barrax Moore in the Office of Diversity and Inclusion at climate.survey@unt.edu.

We value our community and the individuals within it that make UNT great. We want to hear from you, and we want to know what life at UNT is like for you. Our commitment to inclusion and our continued embrace of the diversity that makes UNT unique will lead us to become one of the greatest places to work, learn and grow.

Your participation in the survey will help make UNT an even better place where we soar higher.

UNT Proud,
Neal Smatresk
President
