Benefits enrollment information: Register for July 11 and 13

Summer Enrollment for benefits is now to July 15 for active, eligible faculty and staff at UNT, who will have the opportunity to enroll in new benefit programs or change current options. These valuable health insurance and related benefits are provided by the Employees Retirement System of Texas (ERS).

If you have questions or want to learn more, we are pleased to offer enrollment information at convenient times and locations on the UNT campus at Willis Library and Facilities, and at Discovery Park. Sessions are scheduled  July 11 (Spanish) and July 13; please find the attached calendar and registration information below.* Eligible employees also may find online assistance from ERS representatives all day - no appointment is needed.

Changes made during Summer Enrollment will go into effect Sept. 1, 2017, the first day of fiscal year 2018.  If you do not want to make changes to your benefits, you need not do anything. Your current coverage will continue.

Please remember that the plan administrator for ERS health plans will change from UnitedHealthcare to Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX) as of FY18. OptumRx will remain the prescription drug provider.

Enrolled employees should discuss this change with their physicians and other providers to make certain that they and their covered dependents have a smooth transition for medical care.

Eligible employees also should log into their ERS account to verify address and personal updates and watch their preferred addresses for mail from ERS. Updates completed on UNT self-service platforms (MyUNT) are not automatically loaded into the ERS system, so it is important to keep your personal information up-to-date with ERS.

*How to Register for 2017 Summer Enrollment Information Sessions

·         Log-in to the EIS Portal (MyUNT)

·         On the left side menu – scroll down and select “Training & Development”

·         Select “Training Enrollment”

·         Select “Search by Date”

·         Type in the course Number

·         Click on “View Available Sessions”

·         Click on the session you are interested in

·         Follow the remaining on-screen prompts to complete enrollment.
