You may have received an email with the following characteristics in the message body. The ‘From’ and ‘To’ aren’t static but the phishers intent of compromising your credentials is the unchanged between messages.
The phishing email also has a link that reads “Validate Email Account”. Don’t click on this link.
The message below is a screenshot of one of the phishing emails received early this morning. If you clicked this link and entered your userid and/or password, please visit https://ams.unt.edu and change your password right away.
If you have questions please get in touch with your IT support personnel who can review the issue with you or you are welcome to contact me.
As a reminder, phishers send emails that make you think the sender is a reputable or trustworthy source but they are really trying to get you to reveal personal information or attempting to harm your computer or software in some way.
