Brandi Renton to serve UNT System as Acting Associate Vice Chancellor, Human Resources

Feb. 19, 2018

Luis Lewin, Associate Vice Chancellor for University of North Texas System Human Resources, will be taking a health-related leave of absence from the UNT System, effective February 26, 2018. During Lewin’s leave, Brandi Renton – Associate Vice President, Administrative Services for UNT – will concurrently fill the role of Acting Associate Vice Chancellor for UNT System Human Resources.

“Luis Lewin is a valued member of our UNT System leadership team and we wish him a speedy recovery while on leave,” said Chancellor Lesa Roe. “In the interim, we are fortunate to have a talented, experienced human resources leader within our System in Brandi Renton. Brandi will have full authority in running the day-to-day operation of our human resources department, and we are confident in her abilities to move our top HR priorities forward – including improving on-boarding processes, as well as HR data collection and analysis – following our recent functional review of this very important area of our System.”

Renton will split her time between offices in Dallas, Fort Worth and Denton.  Renton has served UNT since 2009 in various human resources capacities and has a proven track record of success and leadership.
