Dec. 14, 2016
Traffic around the UNT Coliseum will be busier than usual on Friday (Dec. 16) due to winter break move out in the residence halls and fall commencement ceremonies, which start at 9 a.m. and continue through the evening.
Heavy pedestrian and vehicle traffic is expected along North Texas Boulevard. UNT faculty, staff and students should consider alternate travel routes for entering and leaving campus, such as Bonnie Brae Street, Fort Worth Drive and West Oak Street.
Because of the heavy traffic due to commencement, UNT Transportation Services shuttles will not stop in the Coliseum area on Friday. Also, please note that only the e-Ride shuttle service – not the on demand service – will run on Friday. Bus routes will be limited from Friday through winter break with days of no service on weekends or holidays. Please see the transportation service calendar here.
UNT’s fall commencement starts with a 6 p.m. Honors College Medallion Ceremony on Thursday (Dec. 15), and includes ceremonies on Friday and Saturday. To see the complete listing of the fall ceremonies and times, visit https://commencement.unt.edu/fall-schedule.
