Get involved with UNT’s corporate partnerships, Frisco campus — A Message from the President

Dear UNT faculty and staff,

Located in the heart of one of the nation’s most vibrant economies, UNT has unparalleled circumstance to partner with industry-leading businesses to gain insight, facilitate real-world applications of our cutting-edge research, and provide opportunities for our students. Our pursuit of these relationships is critical, because they will enable us to better fulfill our role of preparing the next generation of professionals and leaders. 

In less than two years, we’ve made tremendous progress forming partnerships with Fidelity, the Dallas Cowboys, NetDragon, Toyota and Texas Motor Speedway. We’ve grown enrollment at the New College at Frisco by 72 percent and are establishing deeper connections with corporations headquartered in Collin County. We’re embracing new trends like esports and crafting a program that coaches, trains and facilitates competitive growth for players representing UNT. 

As we continue to look ahead and plan for the future, we want to make sure every department has the opportunity to be involved in our next steps.

We’ve scheduled a town hall focused on partnerships and UNT’s New College at Frisco from 3 to 4:30 p.m. April 12 in the University Union, room 382, to hear your ideas about UNT’s future. Provost Jennifer Cowley and I need to hear from you and learn about the areas where we should seek collaborative partnerships. Your contributions during the brainstorming session will be key in helping us advance UNT as Texas’ most creative and dynamic university.
