Dear UNT Graduate,

Congratulations on earning your degree. Your hard work and dedication to your studies at UNT have paid off, and I - and our entire University of North Texas family - could not be prouder of you and your accomplishments. Earning your degree, especially during such challenging times is an emblem of your courage, adaptability and determination. It speaks to what you can accomplish when you work hard to pursue your dreams.

The University of North Texas is committed to a process of continually working to enhance the experiences of our students and to improve the university services we provide. Because of this, we ask that you as a graduating student complete the following survey to provide feedback regarding your experience at UNT.

While I had hoped that we'd be able to gather for a delayed in-person commencement ceremony in August, we unfortunately will not be able to do so in an effort to keep you and our UNT community as safe as possible. However, I appreciate your patience and do want to be able to honor you for your incredible achievement of earning a UNT degree. I would like to hear your preferences on possible options for a ceremony as part of this survey.

Please take the survey.

Be sure to check the commencement website for updated plans. Your feedback is important to us. By completing the survey, you will be automatically entered into a drawing for: one of two new diploma frames furnished by Jostens (one diploma frame will be provided for an undergraduate and another for a graduate student who is graduating).

The survey should take less than 15 minutes to complete depending on how much additional information you wish to provide. Thank you in advance for completing this important survey.

Your feedback on this survey will remain confidential and will provide UNT with information needed to not only help make a decision about a delayed commencement ceremony for May graduates, but continue to help us improve our programs, services and practices and the overall experiences of our current and future students.

I wish you the very best of success in your future endeavors. I know you are well on your way to becoming another outstanding UNT alum doing good in the world.

UNT Proud,

Neal Smatresk
