Dear UNT System community members,
This message is to notify you that UNT System Information Technology Shared Services will now shorten the “[EXTERNAL]” tag to “[EXT]” to allow more of the subject line to be visible on mobile devices for all UNT System emails that do not come from UNT, UNT Dallas, UNT HSC and UNT System.
This measure was taken to help employees recognize messages that are potential phishing attempts. Please note, if a third party system is used to send university business related email, such as MailChimp or Constant Contact, it will be marked external “[EXT]”.
