Two upcoming events will allow faculty and staff to learn more about Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) vendors and how to connect with them.
Representatives with the Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR) will be available from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14 at the UNT System Business Service Center, 1112 Dallas Drive, Denton, Room 4202 A/B. They will discuss contracts they offer, how contracts are awarded and how DIR may assist your work areas in saving money and time, in many cases while making your daily information technology purchases easier and more efficient. Pre-registration is required for the event, which includes lunch. To reserve a seat, contact UNT System HUB Program Associate Director Greg Obar.
Additionally, a HUB Vendor Fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15 at the UNT Union, Room 314. Last year there were 100 exhibitors and this year organizers hope to exceed that amount. This is a come-and-go event that allows faculty and staff to learn more about our local HUB vendors and the services and products they offer. This event also provides the perfect opportunity for our HUB vendors to introduce some of their cutting-edge products and services to our faculty and staff.
