Dear UNT Colleagues,
We are pleased to begin a new electronic Off-Boarding process to simplify, standardize and improve service for faculty, staff and others who retire, resign or leave UNT employment.
The Off-Boarding process is comprised of steps needed to end employment at any location. When any faculty or staff member or other employee leaves, several actions are required to ensure that all areas of separation are properly managed. These areas include email and electronic access, disposition of university property and materials, parking, payroll and personnel records.
The UNT System’s previous multi-step process caused some confusion for all involved. Earlier this year, a team of representatives from Human Resources, Business Process Improvement and ITSS began to build a more efficient online service. The new process is expected to reduce the time needed for off-boarding from 20 days to two.
We will launch online Off-Boarding effective Sept. 1 (Thursday) with FY18. The UNT Campus Human Resources team will be happy to assist with an immediate off-boarding need. Contact us at AskHR@unt.edu or 940-565-2281.
You also are welcome to attend these information sessions (no registration is needed):
All sessions are in the UNT Campus Human Resources office, Sycamore Hall, Room 119.
· Thursday, Sept. 7, 9 to 10 a.m.
· Wednesday, Sept. 13, 1 to 2 p.m.
· Tuesday, Sept. 19, 3 to 4 p.m.
· Monday, Sept. 25, 11 a.m. to noon
· Friday, Oct. 6, 10 to 11 a.m.
· Thursday, Oct. 12, noon to 1 p.m.
Thank you for your support of this process improvement and our continuing efforts to provide customer friendly, efficient services to UNT.
