UNT reopens COVID-19 vaccine registration, plans to schedule clinics for next week – Administrative Announcement

Friday, March 19, 2021

Dear UNT Community,

Today UNT is reopening the COVID-19 vaccine registration site with the plan of holding vaccine clinics for our community in the Student Health and Wellness Center next week.

After working diligently with the State of Texas to become an approved administrator of COVID-19 vaccines, UNT opened its vaccine portal on Feb. 8. Those who registered at that time will receive notification of when their appointment is scheduled. Please note that appointment times are limited.

The portal will be limited to 1,000 people to allow those who registered in February to be vaccinated.

As a vaccine administrator, UNT will follow state regulations and administer vaccines to individuals eligible under the phased approach outlined by the Texas Department of State Health Services.

As we await more information from the state, continue to work with your physician or a medical provider in your area to obtain the vaccine when it becomes available for your eligible phase. If you’re able to obtain the vaccination prior to UNT’s vaccination clinic, please email Stephanie Fields-Hawkins to be removed from the UNT list and free up a spot for the next in line. Please keep an eye on the Denton County Public Health COVID-19 Vaccine website for the latest information and availability.
