Dear UNT Faculty and Staff,

We've had a great 15 months and come through the pandemic remarkably well because we executed a plan to keep our campus safe while promoting healthy practices. We look forward to coming back this fall and having a deep, rich experience with the face-to-face campus activities that we celebrate as part of the University of North Texas tradition.

We know that as more members of our campus community are vaccinated, we will be safer. I encourage everyone to get vaccinated, and to help motivate you, we are doing something fun! We are launching a Vaccine Incentive Program for faculty and staff today, Tuesday, July 6.

For the next several weeks, faculty and staff who opt into the program will receive one UNT Dining Services meal voucher and be eligible to win one of more than 30 prizes per week, including tickets to sporting events, gift cards, a Highland Street Garage parking pass and more. A similar incentive program will be available for students beginning later this month, and we anticipate awarding more than 2,500 total prizes between both vaccine incentive programs. Your odds of winning are very high!

Already had your vaccination? Great! Click here to participate in the Vaccine Incentive Program and to upload your documentation to receive a free meal and qualify for fabulous prizes. Need to find a vaccination? Use the Texas Health and Human Services website to help you find a vaccination location. UNT's Student Health and Wellness Center is offering vaccine appointments on a limited basis for UNT students, as well as faculty, staff and UNT System employees.

All Vaccine Incentive Program participants will be automatically entered into each week's drawings. Weekly winners will be announced in UNT Today and listed on the Health Alerts website. All prizes will be distributed the week of Aug. 16, after verification of employment for the fall is confirmed. For more information about the Vaccine Incentive Program, email student.affairs@unt.edu.

I hope you're all having a great summer and taking care of yourselves. We look forward to seeing you soon, and the Vaccinate Incentive Program is another way we're trying to promote a safe campus for the fall.

UNT Proud,
Neal Smatresk
President
