The B.S. in Consumer Experience Management at the University of North Texas is an industry-endorsed program that prepares graduates to create and manage consumer experiences ó the single most important driver of business success today. Consumer experience is widely expected to become the primary differentiator and top priority for modern businesses.

This degree can help you make 24/7, year-round digital access to services, products and information a compelling journey for your customers. Youíll also gain a deep understanding of consumer behavior, data analytics and digital applications, allowing you to develop insights and strategies to help your customersí experiences stand apart from those offered by your competitors.

The degree is interdisciplinary, providing a consumer experience management foundation with one or two concentrations (15-33 hours) in areas such as Business Analytics, Communications, Hospitality Management, Information Science, Journalism, Management, Marketing, Merchandising, Psychology, Retail, Sociology and Sport Management.

What we offer

As a student in UNTís first-of-its kind degree program in Consumer Experience Management, you can customize your educational experience through study tours, student organizations and field trips to industry conferences. Youíll also have the opportunity to participate in faculty-led, study-in- America tours ó including New York, West Coast Digital and Dallas study tours ó as well as study abroad tours to China and Europe.

In addition, youíll learn from industry executives through our Executive-in-Residence Lecture Series and our annual Consumer Experience Symposium that brings thought leaders from big-name companies to campus for the benefit of our students. You also will develop and hone your networking skills at our annual Career Expo, where students are highly recruited by companies for paid internships and post-graduation opportunities across the U.S.

This degree also is offered at UNTís New College at Frisco, in the heart of Fortune 500 companies and corporate headquarters. Programs at the New College feature in-depth industry engagement and a collaborative work environment. With 60 hours of Texas Core Complete credits, you can finish this degree in two years at the New College.

Outstanding student support

Our professional advisors meet with their assigned students at least once a semester to ensure a timely graduation and to encourage, support and offer any guidance or assistance needed.

New and continuing full-time students with a GPA of 3.0 or higher are eligible to apply for College of Merchandising, Hospitality and Tourism competitive scholarships. Each year, the college awards scholarships totaling $100,000 or more to students in our undergraduate or graduate programs.

Outstanding Faculty

Our faculty members include current and former industry experts, as well as highly published faculty who conduct research in the areas of mobile commerce, omnichannel retailing, digital experiences, shopping behavior, social commerce, tourism and shopping, and consumer experiences. Our faculty serve as mentors to undergraduate students and collaborate with them on research through an elective for credit research course or through UNT research initiatives for undergraduate students.

How to enroll at UNT

High school students

Detailed information on recognized high school graduation programs and SAT/ACT requirements is available online.

In your senior year, apply for admission at by the March 1 priority date and request that your high school transcript be sent to the UNT admissions office. Do you live out of state? For your convenience, you can apply through the Common Application.

Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate courses can count toward college credit at UNT.
