Commencement is this week and soon UNT will see increased traffic from guests and graduates. To ensure the best experience for graduates, guests and ceremony participants, please follow the guide below and online for undergraduate commencement ceremonies on May 10-11 and for the larger high school graduations, as listed at the bottom. Graduates and guests attending the May 9 Doctoral/Master’s Degree Ceremony should park in the Fouts Field lot.
Graduates: Please park in lots 14, 15, 17 and 19 along North Texas Boulevard, north and south of West Hall; in lots 43 and 29 behind Mozart Square Hall or in lot 23 along Eagle Drive behind Maple Hall.
Guests: Guests should carpool whenever possible, arrive early and plan to access UNT from I-35's North Texas Boulevard exit. They will be routed to the Fouts Field lots, then once those lots are full, to the parking lots southeast of campus near the music practice buildings, Wooten Hall and Welch Street.
Guests attending the College of Music ceremony at the Murchison Performing Arts Center should park in Lot 86 at Apogee Stadium and use the pedestrian bridge or an ADA shuttle to get to the Murchison.
Faculty/staff participating in commencement: Access campus from the north, using Oak or Hickory streets. Avoid using North Texas Boulevard to enter campus from the south. Please park in “A” Lot 4 behind Chilton Hall or in Lot 5 next to Chestnut Hall. Holders of ADA permits for Lot 4 may park in your regular spaces.
Faculty/staff not participating in commencement: Access campus from the north using Oak or Hickory streets. Avoid using North Texas Boulevard to enter campus from the south. Park in any Eagle or Faculty/Staff lot on the north side of campus or in the Union Circle Garage. Holders of “A” permits in Lots 1, 2, 3, 8 and 50 may park in your regular assigned spaces.
Also note that Maple Street will be closed May 10 and 11 for bus use only to transport people to and from the Coliseum, and Highland Street will be partially closed east of Avenue C to Welch Street starting at 4 p.m. Friday, May 10, for the Grad Block Party.
UNT will also host high school graduation ceremonies on campus May 18-June 3, creating more traffic in the North Texas Boulevard and Eagle Drive areas. Larger high school graduations will require use of parking lots on the south and east sides of campus in addition to Fouts Field. These larger graduations include:

• Ryan High School at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, May 23
