Oct. 30, 2019
Scheduled the first week of spring classes, Jan. 13-19, 2020, Spring Soar is an extension of UNT's First Flight welcome week program and is intended to help new students transition to campus. Programs about UNT support services and opportunities to get involved on campus are offered for new students that week. The programs are listed in a publication given out during January orientation sessions and the first week of classes. (See last year's program.)
Programs must be submitted by Wednesday, Nov. 13, to be included in the Spring Soar publication. Submit programs using this link: unt.campuslabs.com/engage/submitter/form/start/353831
Note that classroom space will not be released until January, which is too late to include in the publication due to printing deadlines. If you are using classroom space for your programs, enter "TBA" for the location. The Spring Soar website will be updated with program locations in January.
Spring Soar is designed to:
- Provide students with a sense of preparedness for their first year of college (My Prep)
- Help them begin to build a sense of community (My Life)
- Help them begin to formulate beneficial physical and mental lifelong habits (My Health and Wellness)
- Help them begin to make plans for the future (My Future)
