Suit Up Professional Clothing Drive needs donations and volunteers

Each spring, UNT’s Career Center hosts the Suit Up Professional Clothing Drive. This year’s event will be held Thursday, Feb. 15 from noon to 4 p.m. in the University Union, Room 314.

Suit Up supports students’ entry into the workforce by supplying them with professional clothing to wear for interviews.

Here’s how you can help:

  •  Volunteer to work at the event
  • Donate clothing racks
  • Donate new or gently used professional clothing and accessories to help students make a great first impression
  • Donate food (food will be delivered to UNT’s food pantry)

Your generosity has helped UNT’s Career Center offer clothing to more than 1,500 students over the past two years. If you are interested in donating, contributions are being accepted at the Career Center in Chestnut Hall 103, Business Leadership Building Room 136 and in Discovery Park Room C111, or pickups can be arranged by the Career Center.

Suggested Items include:

• pant and skirt suits

• skirts/dresses

• dress shirts and blouses

• accessories (ties, belts, professional jewelry, scarves)

• sports coats and men’s suits

• hangers

• professional sweater sets

• new or lightly worn professional shoes

• dress slacks/khaki pants
