There are two ways you can help students have a successful college experience. Submit a program in one of four areas (My Prep, My Life, My Health and Wellness or My Future) or volunteer to facilitate a University 101 session during First Flight Week, Aug. 20 – Aug. 27 (Sunday through Sunday).
UNT needs at least 400 programs for the following areas:
• My Prep: Provide students with a sense of preparedness for their first year of college.
• My Life: Begin to build a sense of community.
• My Health and Wellness: Begin to formulate beneficial physical and mental lifelong habits.
• My Future: Begin to make plans for the future.
Submit programs online by June 16 (Friday).
Become a University 101 Facilitator
All incoming freshmen are required to participate in a University 101 session with their small group during First Flight Week. Between 100 and180 faculty and staff volunteers are needed to lead the sessions. Volunteers who have not previously facilitated a University 101 session must attend a 1-hour training session. University 101 Sessions are 2 hours and take place Monday, Aug. 21(Monday) – Aug. 23 (Wednesday) from 9 to 11:00 a.m. Participants must sign up online for the University 101 sessions they would like to lead.
