Nov. 1, 2018

Dear UNT community,

I am proud to welcome Adam D. Fein to our UNT family as our vice president for digital strategy and innovation. This new leadership position is critical as we work together seeking to become a global leader in online learning experiences and educational technology. His appointment is effective today, Nov. 1.

An industry leader in online and innovative education with nearly 20 years experience, Dr. Fein will guide the university's key initiatives in educational technology, online and blended learning. He will lead the charge to identify new directions and opportunities to improve the academic quality, reach and performance of the university in the online and extended education markets.

Dr. Fein comes to us from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he served the last 17 years in a variety of leadership roles culminating with his most recent position as assistant provost for educational innovation. In that position, he was responsible for shaping campus strategy and providing campus-wide support for innovations in classrooms and online. To learn more about him, read the news release announcing his appointment.

As we strengthen our commitment to providing students with the highest-quality and innovative educational experiences possible, Dr. Fein will be a key asset in our growing arsenal of digital capabilities. Our students demand accessibility and convenience, and as a university, we demand a high level of learning outcomes. With Dr. Fein as our champion, there is no doubt UNT will create innovative online experiences that deliver a next generation education.

Please join me in welcoming Dr. Fein to our community. If you see Dr. Fein on campus, please take a moment to introduce yourself and welcome him to our Mean Green family.

UNT proud,
