Several blown fuses on two of the four electric feeds entering the main campus resulted in a power outage to about 35 buildings Friday morning, and power will be out in those buildings from 8 to 11 a.m. today so the fuses can be replaced. Once the power is restored, Facilities personnel will be checking the electrical, plumbing and air conditioning systems in each building.
Today's power outage will affect remote access to desktops running in the affected buildings, and the buildings will lose network connectivity. Administrative Information Technology Services will be working to ensure that remote access and computing resources are restored.
For electrical, plumbing or air conditioning issues, contact UNT Facilities at 940-565-3700. For computing or IT issues, contact your direct IT support or, if you're unsure of who your direct IT support is, call UIT at 940-565-2324.
