Dear UNT Faculty and Staff,

We are nearing the end of a remarkable semester - one where we reached record student enrollment, introduced eight new degree programs, earned the Higher Education Excellence in Diversity award for the fourth consecutive year, and joined the American Athletic Conference. I am proud of all we have accomplished this year and for the many ways we have persevered despite numerous challenges.

As we head into “Meeting-Free Week” and the fall holiday break, I cannot overstate how thankful I am to have you in our UNT Family. Each faculty and staff member plays a pivotal role in making UNT the creative, caring university where our students thrive.

In appreciation of the countless ways you go above and beyond, UNT will close at noon on Wednesday, Nov. 24, for the Thanksgiving holiday. Instructions regarding how to record the closure hours are detailed online by Payroll Time & Labor.

Thank you for all you do to help UNT succeed, and I hope you have a safe holiday break.

UNT Proud,
Neal Smatresk
President
