Admissions

How does the application process work?

It's simple. Apply through your partner community college and select the UNT OnePath option. Once you have submitted your information, it is securely shared with UNT. No separate application to UNT is required. We handle coordination so you can focus on your next steps.

Can I participate if I already have college credit?

Yes! You can still participate if you’ve already earned college credit. To get started, complete the interest form and connect with a Transfer Navigator, who will work with you to create a personalized plan based on your previous coursework and goals.

How do I know which courses to take at the community college?

You'll work with both UNT and your partner community college to create a personalized academic plan that ensures all your courses transfer properly and keep you on track for graduation.

Do I get a UNT email address and student ID?

Yes, you'll receive a UNT email address, student ID card and access to all UNT student systems and resources from the moment you enroll. This includes access to Canvas, library resources, the myUNT student portal and all digital services.

How do I become eligible for upper-division courses in the co-enrollment program?

To become eligible for upper-division courses, you must meet your program’s specific requirements. This may include completing prerequisite coursework and maintaining a minimum GPA. Meet with a navigator to learn more about each program’s specific requirements. Once students are in the program, a Transfer Navigator will guide them to stay on track for progression throughout the program.

What scholarships are available to UNT OnePath participants?

Co-enrollment students meeting UNT OnePath Scholarship eligibility criteria and maintaining a 75% course completion rate are awarded scholarships based on their overall GPA. Scholarships are prorated based on UNT enrollment status for up to five semesters.

How do I know if my OnePath Scholarship will be prorated?

The amount of the OnePath Scholarship is based on the merit-based scholarship amount awarded and the number of UNT semester credit hours in which you enroll for the semester. Below is an example of the scholarship amount for a student awarded a $2,000 per semester scholarship:

How many semesters will I have the UNT OnePath Scholarship?

The UNT OnePath Scholarship is renewable for up to a total of five semesters or upon completion of a bachelor’s degree, whichever comes first. 

Who is eligible for the UNT OnePath Scholarship and Merit Scholarships?
  • Must be a Texas resident
  • Must be participating in a co-enrollment program and in good academic standing
  • Must have co-enrolled in at least one UNT course each year while in the co-enrollment program
  • Must maintain at least a 75% course completion rate with no repeated coursework
  • Must be a UNT degree-seeking student enrolled in courses required for the degree
  • Must have earned a minimum of 45 semester credit hours of coursework in the UNT OnePath program pathway
Can I use financial aid while co-enrolled?

Yes! Co-enrolled students may qualify for federal aid, state grants and scholarships coordinated by UNT or your partner community college.
